Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Fans' Second Season Predictions — With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season introduces a large cast of personalities residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds with songs detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator commented earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
